I love a good hat on any man. But I only love certain hats on me. My head size (smallish average) and facial structure (round), makes it difficult for me to find hats that I think look good on me. And with Summer approaching fast and me spending more time outdoors, I was happy to come across Layer 8's Flo Mo Brim Hat. With a bit of trepidation, I ordered two, one in each size (and only sizes), s/m & l/xl.
I wasn't happy with the fit from the s/m which I assumed would be the right size for me. It was too tight and I started getting a headache after wearing it for a while. But the l/xl was perfect.
Made of 91% polyester and 9% spandex, the hat fits snug and yet it stretches and is surprisingly breathable. Layer 8 offers an assortment of vibrant bright colors (12), and I'll probably end up buying all of them along with the pure Yellow and Navy that I've already purchased. They also offer the hat in white with an assortment of logo colors (4), but white is the bane of my existence, so will skip this offering.
The wide brim—measuring around 3 to 4 inches—provides substantial coverage, shielding your face from harmful UV rays. I usually like the brim to be "cupped" in the manner that I grew up with. The cupping is from when we would take off our hats, fold them in half, and stick them brim first into our back pockets. But I'm very comfortable with the Flo Mo's brim remaining relatively flat in today's style.
If your head's not too big (You know who you are.) then I think you'll love the Flo Mo Brim Hat from Layer 8.
